Who we are
The Last Bluff Standing (the "game") is made by DevQuest Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16957463). Our registered office is 9 Caxton House, Broad Street, Cambourne, Cambridge, CB23 6JN, United Kingdom. DevQuest Ltd is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZC152841.
This policy explains what personal data the game uses on iPhone, iPad and Android, who it goes to, and the choices you have. Questions:

The short version
•
The game has no accounts of its own and no servers of ours that collect your data. What you set up in the game stays on your device.
•
Your selfie is taken on your phone, stays on your phone and is sent only to the phones at the same table, over your own Wi-Fi or hotspot. It never reaches us.
•
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland you are asked for consent first; on iPhone you are also asked whether apps may track you.
•
Sign-in, medals and the cloud save use your own Google Play Games or Apple Game Center / iCloud account.
•
The full version is bought through Google Play or the App Store and confirmed through RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
Data the game keeps on your device
The game saves the following on your phone or tablet only, so you can carry on where you left off:
•
your pirate name, colour and the photo you took for your pirate card (see "Your selfie" below);
•
your progress: experience and level, unlocked cards, medals, game statistics and records;
•
your settings: language, sound, music, vibration, which hand you play with, the chosen rivals and the deck;
•
whether you own the full version, and how often ads have been shown (so the game can space them out).
We do not receive this data. It is deleted when you delete the game or clear its data in your device's settings, except for the copy in your cloud save (see below).
Your selfie
When you start a voyage the game can ask for a photo of you for your pirate card. Taking it is optional: you can say no to the camera and play with a ready-made portrait. The game uses the camera only while you take that photo.
The photo is kept on your device. In a multiplayer game it is sent, as a small picture, directly to the other devices at the same table over the local network, so they can show your face. It is not uploaded to us or to any server, it is not part of the cloud save, and the other devices use it only to show you at that table. Please only take photos of yourself.
Playing together on the local network
Multiplayer works without the internet: the host's device runs the game, and the other phones connect to it over the same Wi-Fi network or the host's hotspot. To let nearby phones find the ship, the host's device announces the game on the local network with the captain's portrait, the crew's colours and a join code.
During a game the devices at the table exchange what they need to play: pirate names, colours and photos, the moves and the cards in play. This data travels only between the devices at the table and is not sent to us. On iPhone the game asks for the "Local Network" permission for this; on Android it uses the local network access the system grants to the app.
Sign-in, medals and cloud save
On Android the game signs you in automatically with Google Play Games Services, if you use it. On iPhone and iPad it uses Apple Game Center. They are used for:
•
Achievements: the medals you earn are reported to Play Games or Game Center, which show them in your profile there.
•
Cloud save: a copy of your progress and settings (experience, unlocked cards, medals, statistics, pirate name and colour, language and sound settings) is saved to your Google Play Games Saved Games, or on Apple devices to your iCloud, so you get it back on a new phone or after reinstalling. The selfie, the ad counters and the full version are not part of it.
The game receives from Google or Apple only what it needs to do this, such as whether you are signed in. We do not run a server for this and cannot see your cloud save. Google's and Apple's own privacy policies apply to those services. If you do not sign in, the game works the same, without medals in your profile and without the cloud copy.
Buying the full version
The full version is a one-time in-app purchase made through Google Play or the App Store. Google or Apple handle the payment; we never receive your card or payment details.
To confirm and restore the purchase the game uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States). The game gives RevenueCat a random, anonymous app user identifier, and RevenueCat receives from Google or Apple the purchase receipt (which product, when, in which country and currency, and its status, such as refunded), plus basic device details such as the operating-system and app version. It uses them only to tell the game whether you own the full version. We can see these purchase records in RevenueCat, but they are not linked to your name or email address.
Ads in the free version
The free version shows rewarded ads (when you choose to watch one, for a bonus) and occasional full-screen ads between single-player voyages. They are served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). The full version shows no ads and does not start the ads service at all.
•
What AdMob uses: your device's advertising identifier (Android advertising ID, or on Apple devices the IDFA if you allow tracking), your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with the ads. Google uses this to show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud.
•
Consent: in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland the game asks for your consent with Google's consent form before any ad is requested. If you do not agree, ads that are not personalised can still be shown. You can change your choice at any time in the game: Options → Ad privacy.
•
Tracking on Apple devices: after the consent form, iOS asks whether the game may track you across apps. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not shared.
•
Your device settings: on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact place depends on the phone); on iPhone you control tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
•
Ads are limited to content suitable for teenagers (rating T).
What we do not do
•
We do not run analytics or crash-reporting tools of our own in the game.
•
We do not sell your data, and we do not ask for your email address, phone number or contacts.
•
The game does not use your precise location.
Google Play and Apple may give us statistics and crash reports from people who allowed their device to share them with app developers (for example Android vitals or App Store Connect analytics). These reach us without your name and are used only to fix problems and improve the game.

Your rights and choices
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because the game keeps your data on your device and in your own Google or Apple account, you can do most of this yourself:
•
Delete everything on the device: delete the game, or clear its data in your device's settings.
•
Delete the cloud save on Android: in the Google Play Games app or in your Google Account, delete the game's data (Play Games → Settings → Delete Play Games account & data, or only this game's data).
•
Delete the cloud save on Apple devices: Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → The Last Bluff Standing → Delete Data.
•
Change your ad choices: Options → Ad privacy in the game, and your device's ad and tracking settings.
•
Purchases: for a copy or deletion of the purchase records linked to your anonymous app user ID, email us.
To use any of your rights, or if something is not clear, email
support@devquest.co.uk; we reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113, or to the data protection authority where you live. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game changes, for example when a new feature uses data in a new way. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for important changes we will also tell you in the game.
