1. Who we are
The Last Bluff Standing (the "game") is made by DevQuest Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16957463), registered office 9 Caxton House, Broad Street, Cambourne, Cambridge, CB23 6JN, United Kingdom. Contact:
support@devquest.co.uk.
2. Accepting these terms
By downloading or playing the game you agree to these terms and to our
Privacy policy. The terms of the store you got the game from (the Apple Media Services Terms or the Google Play Terms of Service) also apply. If these terms and the store's terms differ about the store's own services, such as payments and refunds, the store's terms win.
The game is meant for players aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please check these terms with a parent or guardian.
3. The free game and the full version
The game is free to download. The free version lets you play single player and join multiplayer games, and shows ads.
The full version is a one-time in-app purchase (not a subscription). It also lets you host multiplayer games, play "With a TV" and "Table on this screen", removes the ads and adds the other benefits shown on the Full version card in the game at the time you buy it.
•
The purchase is made and paid through Google Play or the App Store, at the price shown there. We do not handle your payment.
•
It is tied to your Google or Apple account. You can restore it on another device signed in to the same account with "Restore purchase" on the Full version card.
•
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. If a purchase is refunded or cancelled by the store, the full version is switched off again.
•
By buying, you ask for the full version to be unlocked straight away. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, this means you lose the 14-day right to cancel once the unlock has started, as the law allows for digital content; your other legal rights stay.
4. Playing with others
Multiplayer games run on the devices at your table over your own Wi-Fi or hotspot. The host's device runs the game; if it leaves, the game ends for everyone at that table.
•
Only take selfies of yourself, and only use a pirate name and photo you have the right to use.
•
Do not use names or photos that are offensive, hateful, sexual or that pretend to be someone else.
•
Be fair to the other players at your table. You are responsible for whom you play with and for what you share with them.
5. Ads
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, as described in the
Privacy policy. Rewarded ads are always your choice; the bonus is given only when the ad is watched to the end. Ads are shown by a third party and we are not responsible for the products they advertise.
6. Sign-in, medals and cloud save
Sign-in, achievements and the cloud save use Google Play Games Services or Apple Game Center and iCloud, under their own terms. They are optional. We do our best to keep your progress safe, but the copy on your device is the main one: if you delete the game without a cloud save, your progress may be lost.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the game for your own personal, non-commercial play. You must not:
•
copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the game, except where the law allows it;
•
cheat, hack, or use tools that change how the game or its multiplayer works, or interfere with other players' games;
•
unlock the full version or remove the ads without buying it;
•
use the game, its art or its name to sell or promote anything without our written permission.
8. Our content
The game, its name, art, cards, characters, music and code belong to DevQuest Ltd or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play it on devices you own or control, under these terms and the store's rules. Third-party sounds and fonts used in the game are listed, with their licences, in the game under Options → Licences & credits.
9. Updates and availability
We update the game from time to time to fix problems, change the balance, or add or change features. Some updates may be needed to keep playing, especially in multiplayer, where every device at the table needs a compatible version. We will not take away the main features of the full version you paid for, unless a law, a store rule or a third-party service forces us to, in which case we will tell you and look for a fair solution. We cannot promise the game will always be free of errors or available on every device.
10. Liability
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights, for example your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that paid digital content is as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If the full version is faulty, you can ask for a repair or a replacement and, if that is not possible, a refund.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, for business losses, or for damage to your device caused by your own failure to follow our instructions or to install updates. If digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content and this is caused by our lack of reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you fair compensation. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.
11. Stopping
You can stop playing at any time by deleting the game. We may stop offering the game, or block its use by someone who seriously breaks these terms (for example by cheating against others), where the law allows.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the game or the law changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for important changes, tell you in the game. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can stop playing and delete the game.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your home part of the UK. If you live in the EU or elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws of the country where you live and can bring proceedings there.
